Calgary Stampede
Here's a picture of Stampede 2006 on Sunday 9th when the hail stones were the size of golf balls. Needless to say, we didn't spend much time on the grounds. They had to stop the Grandstand Show halfway through.
But we did get to see a lot of interesting indoor exhibits.

The thing to see is not just the parade, but the Grandstand Show. Purchase of the ticket also gets you into the grounds, so you can spend the day exploring all the exhibits, watching the idiots (oops - brave ones) on the rides, and the Chuckwagon Races always precede the show at 8:30. That's usually my Stampede experience each year. Wanna do it with me next year???
