The Power Within
I attended The Power Within at the Telus Convention Centre Tuesday with about 2,500 other women. Speakers included Suzanne Sommers, Bianca Jagger, Lynne Cox, Dr. Christiane Northrup, Irshad Manji and Loretta LaRoche. All very inspirational and entertaining. To learn more about the conference check out http://www.powerwithin.com/ . It's the first time I've been to one of these, and I hope to make it a yearly experience. My boss approved it as an expense item because it is considered a "personal growth" thing. It's hard to stay motivated somethimes when you work for the government, and perks like this really do help.

Sounds like something Candice's would enjoy, she into the girl power equal right thing. Her summer project is working with her women's study professor comming up with after school activities for latch key kids ages 6-12. Last year they did the study for kids 13-16. I will forward the websiste for her to check out and read more about it.
